ISU wins 28-21 at Army

It was a tough road game and shouldn't have been. I never thought ISU would blow Army out, they won't blow anyone out. But this game ISU looked bad. The defense looked really bad, giving up yards on the run and pass. Stevie Hicks appeared to go out injuried. It was a bad, ugly game, but at least the score was good at the end.

Why Iowa lost?

1) Iowa doesn't care about this game only ISU does. (Right)

2) Last time ISU won like this Iowa went to the Orange Bowl. (And got killed by USC)

3) If Tate was in Iowa would have won. (Please ignore the deer in the headlighs, interception, couldn't fall on the ball, ...)

4) Tate starts off slow so if he was in during the second half Iowa would have won. (So does ISU, please note the last time ISU won Iowa was ahead by so much the Iowa announcers said "see you at the post game party")

5) The announcer was talking when Iowa snapped the ball. (I was actually at the game and no)

6) The ISU band played when Iowa snapped the ball. (Yeah both bands this, I even heard ISU do it to ISU's own offense)

7) Iowa beat themselves. (Of course!)

8) One more time this is the only game ISU cares about all season.

Bad weekend for the Big 10

On Saturday, No. 3 Michigan, No. 4 Ohio State and No. 8 Iowa all lost, marking the first time since The Associated Press began ranking teams in 1936 that three top-10 teams from one conference were all defeated on the same day. The SEC (1999) and Big Ten (1983) previously had a top-10 trio lose in the same bowl season, but those games didn't fall within a 24-hour span.

The silver lining for the Big Ten is that these losses, although high profile, are the only setbacks for any of its teams through two weekends. Therefore, a look at the conference standings today might be confused for an episode of The Twilight Zone. On top are Illinois and Indiana; on the bottom are Ohio State and Michigan.

Berryman and Allen

I'm really getting tired of hearing about Berryman being back on the team. The guy went to jail for almost year for hitting someone and taking a cell phone. That's punishment in my book and pretty rough punishment at that. He gets another chance because Mac is giving him one. Nothing else to say.

Before the Hawk fans go irate keep in mind Iowa’s Antwan Allen broke an ISU fan’s jaw and thus far is getting community service and sitting out against Ball State. Wow.

Wow, wow, wow. I can start breathing again. My heart can start again. What a game. ISU broke KU's win streak at home. ISU is going to the big dance. Who would have thought this a month ago.

I woke up this morning and was going to post a prediction of 62-59 ISU win. I guess I should have...
